ABOUT ME:
I am SIMON BENJAMIN, founder of VENUS AS A BOY FILMS. I have studied art in many forms, such as fine art, music & film. I have a BA degree in Cinema with emphasis on post production (final cut pro). I'm knowledgeable in all aspects of film production (writing, producing, directing & editing). I view & create films as visual art, not as a commercial product. My passion is discovering new & exciting methods of visual expression, transcending conventionality.

I use this HDR-XR520V Sony HD Camcorder. My camera records on a hard disk space, so it's all digital, no tapes. I have two lavalier microphones, one is wireless, the other one is not. I use Final Cut Pro 6 to edit on a MacBook Pro laptop.
